A Typical Day
This is a typical routine to give you an idea of the kinds of things your child will be doing during an average day in my setting. This is in no way a rigid timetable as all children are individuals, and so this will mean that plans will change throughout the day depending on what the children are doing.
Time Activity
7.00 – 8.00 am Arrival, self-registration, breakfast and free play
8.00 – 9.00 am School/Nursery drop offs
9.00 – 12.00 pm Playgroup/Park/Activity/Morning Snack
12.00 – 12.30 pm Lunch
12.30 – 2.45 pm Story time/Nursery Rhymes/Quiet time/Nap time/Afternoon Snack
2.45 – 3.45 pm School pick ups
3.45 – 5.00 pm Free play/Crafts/Outdoor play
5.00 – 6.00 pm Free Play until children are collected
Please note:
The routine will be adapted to meet the needs of individual children, i.e. if your child sleeps in the morning instead of after lunch then provision can be made for this.
Part of each day will be spent outdoors, as not only is this a requirement of EYFS, but it is also beneficial for the children to get used to and enjoy a variety of outdoor activities.
